Please remember:
Most vocabulary words must be memorized.
Most vocabulary words can not be sounded out.
Suggestion:
Use index cards to make flashcards.
Keep two piles: those words your child knows and those that your child must still master.
Take time to review the words that your child knows.
However, FREQUENTLY study the words he/she is having difficulty with.
Some children benefit from studying only one or two new words at a time. Once, mastered,
add them to the pile of words your child knows.
In time, you will know if additional study time is needed on weekends.

for High Frequency Words and Vocabulary Words
